SMS Consent Collection Statement
(“Proof of Opt-In”)

Last Updated: October 2025

1.  Overview

V2Verify collects explicit user consent before sending any SMS messages to consumers or employees through our platform. This document outlines the methods and disclosures used to obtain consent for SMS communications delivered through Twilio.

This documentation applies to all present and future V2Verify applications and services, including but not limited to:

  • Visitor Logbook / Lobby Notification System

  • V2ondemand Developer Dashboard

  • V2Verify Authentication Platform (2FA / MFA / OTP Delivery)

  • Any product or service where V2Verify delivers informational or security-related text messages

2.  SMS Message Types Covered Under This Consent

Users may receive SMS messages for the following purposes:

1.  Two-Factor Authentication (2FA / MFA)

Delivery of one-time verification codes is required for secure login.

2.  Security & Account Alerts

Notifications regarding account activity, password changes, or suspicious activity.

3.  Visitor Arrival Notifications

Alerts are sent to authorized employees when guests check in via the Visitor Logbook system.

4.  Service- or System-Related Notifications

Future product alerts, transactional notices, or essential service communications.

No promotional or marketing messages are sent to users unless a separate explicit opt-in is obtained.

3.  Method of Consent Collection (Opt-In Process)

V2Verify uses Web Form Opt-In, which Twilio recognizes as a valid form of documented consent.

Users encounter an opt-in checkbox (unchecked by default) or a required acknowledgment text box before receiving messages. Consent is captured at the time the user submits the form.

3.1 Example: Developer Dashboard / Account Creation Form

Checkbox Text (user must check to continue):

“I agree to receive SMS messages for authentication, security notifications, and service-related alerts from V2Verify. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for more information.”

3.2 Example: Visitor Logbook / Visitor Notification Enrollment

When employees register their mobile number to receive visitor arrival alerts, the form contains:

“I consent to receive SMS alerts when visitors arrive for me. These messages are informational and sent based on my role in the system. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for assistance.”

Employees must submit the form to save their notification preferences, which stores their consent record.

4.
Required Disclosures Provided at Opt-In

All opt-in forms include the following industry-required disclosures:

  • “Message and data rates may apply.”

  • “Message frequency varies based on system usage.”

  • “Reply STOP to cancel at any time.”

  • “Reply HELP for help.”

  • “Your number will not be shared with third parties except for SMS delivery providers.”
